Syria Highlights Tour

Itinerary

1. Day One

   Depart to Damascus 

   • Tour begins in Beirut, where we will depart at 10:00.

   • Drive east to Syria, where we will collect our visas before crossing the border.

   • We will then head to Damascus, where we will visit the bazaar and Alem Palace before having the evening at leisure.

   • Overnight in Damascus.

2. Day Two

   Tour of Damascus

   • Take a full day tour of Damascus including Umayyad Mosque, Ananias Church, Eastern Gate, Straight Street, and the Roqaia Mosque and Mausoleum.

   • Overnight in Damascus.

3. Day Three

   Drive North to Aleppo

   • Drive north to the city of Aleppo.

   • Overnight in Aleppo.

4. Day Four

   Tour of Aleppo

   • Today we will take a full day tour of Aleppo, visiting the Citadel, the Forty Martyrs Armenian Cathedral, the old destroyed souks, the Great Mosque of Aleppo and much more.

   • Overnight in Aleppo.

5. Day Five

   Krak de Chevaliers

   • Head southwest to the crusader castle at Krak de Chevaliers.

   • En route, we will stop in the city of Homs, which was almost completely destroyed during the civil war.

   • Overnight in Krak des Chevaliers.

6. Day Six

   Tour of Palmyra

   • Go east to the vast ancient city of Palmyra. We have a full-day tour of Palmyra before returning to Krak des Chevaliers in the evening.

   • Overnight in Krak des Chevaliers.

7. Day Seven

   Beach resort of Latakia

   • Drive to the west coast today to the beach resort of Latakia. En route, we will stop in Salah Ed-Din to visit the citadel.

   • Overnight in Latakia.

8. Day Eight

   Return to Damascus 

   • Head back to Damascus, stopping in Malula along the way.

   • Overnight in Damascus.

9. Day Nine

   Return to Beirut

   • Journey back to Beirut, where we will be dropped off at the airport (around 13:00) or downtown Beirut.
