After riding for 3-4 hours, we will set up our camp for the night whilst the crew start up a bonfire and begin to cook a delicious barbeque. Today will be an authentic desert experience with the night
spent settling down under the stars.
Overnight in tented camp.
Today we start off with breakfast, before preparing our camels for the journey back to Chinguetti. We’ll talk a walk around the area and visit the library, before watching the sunset for the day.
We will spend the night at Auberge Eden, which is surrounded by dunes.
Today we'll drive west towards the town of Choum, grabbing our essentials and snacks for the train ride along the way.
Once we arrive in Choum we will wait to board the incredible Iron Ore train. These trains come through 3 times a day, however, the timings are not always predictable and we may have to wait as not all trains will stop. Once we board the train, it is around a 13 hour journey to the coast.
Overnight on the train.
Once the train pulls into the city of Nouadiboh, our drivers will collect us and take us a place where we can rest and freshen up from the long train journey and eat breakfast together. If time permits we will visit the traditional fishing port.
We will hit the road again to start our journey over to Western Sahara, crossing the famous El Guergerat border which is controlled by the Moroccan authorities.
Overnight in Dakhla.
Today we take a tour around Dakhla visiting the famous white dunes and stopping for lunch in a local seafood restaurant. We'll make a few stops at the many beautiful beaches and cliffs in the area and take in the vista of the lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean.
The tour ends in the evening when we can head to the airport to catch our flights home.
