We are currently offering the below two options for tour add ons in Mongolia.

They are both priced at £389 per person (based on two sharing) or £539 if travelling alone.

Please note, the tours are 5 days and are offered as a replacement for the standard Mongolia 2 day tour, not an extension. If you would like to take the tour as a standalone trip and not as part of our Trans Mongolian tour, there is a £150 per person surcharge if 2 people travelling or £300 if travelling alone.


Option 1:


Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai Semi Desert. The area consists of both Mountainous & Gobi Desert area. Camel riding around the area. Spend the night with a nomadic family.

 

Drive to Khustai Nuruu National Park where herds of the wild horse Przevalskii have been re-acclimatizing since 1991. Explore the wild horse 'Takhi' in several enclosures. Visit natural museum display about wild horses then onwards to the natural park province area which includes many unique varieties of flora and fauna. Spend the night in a Ger.

 

Drive to Terelj National park. Go hiking or horse riding and visit a mountain temple. Visit a Kazakh nomadic family and spend the night in a Ger.

 

Drive to visit Chinggis Khaan complex. Stay with Mongolian family and experience the daily life of nomadic people.

   

Drive to Zuun Mod village to go horse riding with local horseman to the 'Bogd Khaan Strictly Protected Mountain' with the famous peak 'Tsetseegun'. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar end of the day.

   

Option 2:

Early in the morning set off to the Orkhon waterfall. The waterfall was formed by a unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about twenty thousand years ago. The area is surrounded by high mountain peaks with forest trees which are the home for yaks. Stay overnight in Ger.

 

After horseback riding around the area, drive to Kharakhorum town where the capital of the Great Mongolian Empire developed in the 13th century. Explore Erdene Zuu Monastery Museum (the first and biggest Buddhist centre of the mediaeval ages) and Turtle rock from the 13th century. Stay overnight with a Nomadic family.

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar.
