Take the chance to visit one of Africa's most mysterious countries. Virtually closed off to tourism for decades after a succession of civil wars and political turmoil, Chad now has a few stable regions that are beginning to become accesible for tourists.
Our Chad tours take in the capital city of N'Djamena and Zakouma National Park; one of Africa's last true remaining wildernesses, hosting lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants, buffalo and much more.

Arrival into N'Djamena airport and transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast we take a morning tour of the capital. We start off by visiting a local craft, market before walking around 'Place de Nation' - the city's main square with it's statues and monuments. We then walk around local markets before visiting the national museum. Here is the 6 million year old skull of Toumai, humanity's oldest ancestor. We return to the hotel for a short break and chance to get lunch before setting off later in the afternoon to visit the village of Gaoui, a traditional Chad village well known for it's pottery and architecture.
Today we start the long drive South East to Zakouma national park. The drive will take approximately 12 hours, passing through many remote villages with backdrops of incredible rock formations en route. Arrive in the evening to the park in time for dinner before settling down in our accommodation where we stay for the next four nights.
Today we start our 3 days of safari in Zakouma. Each day we will take an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Breakfast is served prior to our morning game drive with lunch in between the drives. After our return from the late afternoon safari, time for a shower before dinner is served. There is also a bar serving alcohol and soft drinks throughout the day and evening.
After breakfast take morning game drive and start our search for the big 5 (5 rhinos are to be reintroduced in April 2018). Return to the lodge for lunch before taking another game drive in the late afternoon/early evening.
Our final safari day today. As well as the big 5 there's also the chance to spot a large range of other animals such as giraffes, antelopes, warthogs, crocodiles, civits, foxes, hyenas, montior lizards and much more. There is also a huge array of birdlife which can be spotted all across the reserve and in particular at the watering holes.
Today we drive back to N'Djamena. Arrive in the evening and spend our final night in the capital for a goodbye meal together.
Check out of the hotel and transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
