One of the more overlooked travel destinations, Yemen is a country of rugged highlands, coastal plains and harsh desert, its coastal position at the bottom of the Arabian peninsula means it has been at the crossroads of civilisations for over 7,000 years. Despite its ongoing challenges, the people here are resilient and welcoming, keen to share their country’s mix of culture and layered history.
