The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dominating most of the Arabian Peninsula and sandwiched between the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia holds many treasures within its sandy domain. Two of Islam's holiest cities are here, Mecca and Medina. While beyond the Islamic influence lie a country filled with desert spectacles, modern cities, and sites from the Biblical Era. It's a country with values differing from those of many Westerners. Yet if you leave your assumptions aside and take Saudi Arabia as it is, you'll find a kingdom rich with unrivalled experiences not found anywhere else.
The tour starts in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. From here, you'll drive to the rocky formations of Jebel Fihrayn. Stand atop these cliffs and get a view so expansive you can view the earth's curvature—which is why this area is nicknamed the 'Edge of the World.' You'll also see Riyadh's old town, predating anything else in the capital by millennia. Then there are UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Hegra and archaeological sites such as Ikmah, containing an open-air library with thousands of stone inscriptions. And, of course, you will visit Medina, considered the cradle of Islamic culture and civilization. There's more, much more. Check out the itinerary to see what else awaits you in Saudi Arabia!
