Vast rainforests and gorilla trekking are just the tip of the iceberg in the East African countries of Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These three nations boast everything beautiful about Africa. Mountainous scenery, stunning lakes, and an abundance of flora and fauna are but a few of the things that make these three countries worth a visit.
This three-country tour first stops in Burundi. Of the many experiences that await you is Bujumbura Hippo Nature Reserve, where you will see many hippos floating around the river that snakes through the reserve, as well as other wildlife. Rwanda will bring even more beauty with a full day at Lake Kivu near Gisenyi. The D.R.C. is the final leg of this unforgettable tour. The great Kahuzi-Biega Natonal Park is the crown jewel of the Congo rainforest. You will trek to see the Eastern Lowland gorillas among the mountains and rainforests —these siblings to humanity are found in only three countries.
