Day One, Oct 5 2026 Arrive in Conakry
• Arrival in the capital city, Conakry. The rest of the day is to be spent at leisure.

Day Two, Oct 6 2026 Exploring Conakry
• This morning, we will take a city tour of Conakry, including the Grand Mosque and the Catholic Cathedral.
• We will then go to experience the hustle and bustle of Conakry fishing port before we take a boat to the historical islands of Fotoba and Karsa. We will have a late lunch by the pool nestled within former mining deposits.
• The afternoon will be spent relaxing by the beach before we take the boat back to Conakry, where we will spend the night

Day Three, Oct 7 2026 Journey to Dalaba
• Today, we will journey to Dalaba, which takes us on a scenic journey through the mountainous heartland of Guinea.
• Along the way, we can spot the isolated villages, thatched houses and some of Guinea’s most populous cities and we stop for lunch in Mamou.
• Once we arrive in Dalaba, we will spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day Four, Oct 8 2026 Dalaba
• After breakfast, we will take a tour of Dalaba, visiting Mariam Makiba’s former home, where an exiled anti-apartheid South African musician relocated to Guinea.
• We will then visit the former French governor’s home and the Roundhouse Museum in Sili.
• We will spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing beneath the wonderful Chute de Dittin waterfalls, with the opportunity to swim.

Day Five, Oct 9 2026 Journey to Labe
• This morning, we will take in the scenery of one of the world’s most beautiful waterfalls, the ‘two into one’ Chutes de Kambadaga. We will then take another scenic drive to Labe, where we check into our hotel and have lunch.
• After lunch, we will visit the local markets, experiencing the life of the local merchants, as well as paying a visit to the Foutta Djallon museum

Day Six, Oct 10 2026 Crossing to Guinea-Bissau
• Today, we have a long journey through the remote north-western region of Guinea, before completing our border formalities and crossing over into Guinea-Bissau.
• We will then head to our hotel in Gabu, where we can enjoy time relaxing by the pool. Evening at leisure.

Day Seven, Oct 11 2026 Gabu to Bissau City
• After breakfast, we will begin our drive from Gabu to the capital city of Bissau. On the way, we will visit the Malinke people in their village of Tabatô, where we will witness a traditional musical concert and then we will visit the hometown of Guinea-Bissau’s independence leader, Amilcar Cabral.
• On arrival in Bissau, we will head to the Old Town and step back in time to the Portuguese colonial period and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day Eight, Oct 12 2026 Bissau City
• We tour the city of Bissau today, taking in the fishing port and market, a unique blend of fish market, cultural hub and outdoor department store.
• We will visit Fortaleza d’Amura, a Portuguese fort, the old and new Presidential
Palaces and the Catholic Cathedral. -
Day Nine, Oct 13 2026 Bissagos Islands
• This morning, we set sail for the Bissagos islands, beginning with Bolama, the former Portuguese colonial capital, which was abandoned after independence. Here, we see the ruins of the colonial infrastructure, military installations,
religious centres, administrative buildings and the airport.
• We will then sail to the most populous island, Bubaque, where we will have lunch and take a tuk-tuk tour of the island and its unspoiled beaches.
• We will then return to Bissau for the evening. -
Day Ten, Oct 14 2026 Tour Ends
• Head to the airport for your departing flight.
