We’re proud to announce that our West Africa tour – taking in the countries of Liberia, Cote D’ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Benin – is back by popular demand. All five countries offer a captivating mixture of history, culture and remarkable landscapes, spanning Liberia’s legacy as the first independent African nation to the voodoo traditions of Togo and the wondrous Basilica of Our Lady of Peace cathedral in Cote D’ivoire, the world’s largest of its kind by area. This tour not only provides the opportunity to see the famous sites of the region, but to also meet its welcoming people and experience their customs and traditions firsthand.

Highlights of this tour include Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, where you will explore the city’s historical buildings, the remarkable architecture of Cote D’ivoire’s three main cities (Yamoussoukro, Abidjan and Grand Bassam) and the stilt villages, forest canopy walks and fantasy coffin builders of Ghana. Meanwhile, as well as lakes, waterfalls and coastal villages, Togo offers a rare opportunity to visit Lomé’s famous voodoo market. Over in Benin, voodoo temples, former colonial settlements, and a UNESCO listed Royal Palace await, as does the famous abandoned L1011 Trista Aircraft which sits alone on a Cotonou beach.
