Day One, Mar 8 2026 Arrival in Monrovia
• Arrive at Monrovia Roberts International Airport and take a taxi to the hotel.
• Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day Two, Mar 9 2026 Walking tour of Monrovia
• Take a walking tour of Monrovia. We will stop for lunch in the Embassy District before returning to our hotel in the late afternoon.

Day Three, Mar 10 2026 Journey to Robertsport
• Travel to Robertsport, a city previously settled by African American freed slaves and later an Allied airbase in World War 2.

Day Four, Mar 11 2026 Robertsport Walking Tour
• Spend the morning around Robertsport taking a walking tour. We will visit churches, schools and the abandoned African Centre of Culture.
• Return to our accommodation for lunch before spending the afternoon leisurely or taking optional surf lessons.

Day Five, Mar 12 2026 Crossing the Liberian Border
• Cross the border into Sierra Leone.
• Head to Tiwai Island Sanctuary and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day Six, Mar 13 2026 Tiwai Island Sanctuary
• Today, we will enjoy local meals prepared by community cooks. You’ll have time to take nature walks where you can hopefully spot red, black and white colobus monkeys. There is also the opportunity to take a river cruise around the island.

Day Seven, Mar 14 2026 Bo – Heart of the Diamond Mining Industry
• Depart in the morning for Bo—the heart of Sierra Leone’s diamond mining industry. It’s also well known for its music scene and nightlife.
• Arrive in Bo early afternoon and take the rest of the day to wander around the city or relax in the hotel resort.

Day Eight, Mar 15 2026 River Beach #2
• Travel to one of Sierra Leone’s most famous and unspoiled beaches: River Beach Number 2.
• Enjoy a day at this lovely beach, with options to take a boat cruise up the river and hike.
• Take the evening to relax on the beach with delicious fresh fish and cold beers.

Day Nine, Mar 16 2026 Banana Island
• Take a boat ride to Banana Island. The island was initially inhabited by the Portuguese and later by freed slaves.
• Return to River Beach Number 2 in the late afternoon and take the rest of the day at leisure.

Day Ten, Mar 17 2026 Tour of Freetown
• This morning we will drive to Freetown and take a tour, including the market, the war memorial and St George’s Cathedral.

Day Eleven, Mar 18 2026 Tour Ends
• Tour ends today. Leave for your flight home or continue your travels through West Africa.
