The trio of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador provide a colourful and welcoming snapshot of what Central America has to offer. A rich, multi-layered history that spans Mayan ruins to glorious cathedrals, is intertwined with a biodiverse geography that ranges from active volcanoes to mangroves swimming with life. Expect an immersion in colour, be it on the walls, your plate, or as landscapes unfold in front of you.
Our Central America tour gives you the opportunity to see some of the historic, cultural and nature highlights these three countries have to offer. We begin exploring San Salvador, El Salvador’s vibrant capital before travelling to San Jose Guayabal where you’ll meet the mayor, Mauricio Vilanova, who will show you his bold people-led vision for a new El Salvador. We’ll then drive to Honduras, to the UNESCO site of Copan, once the beating heart of Mayan civilization, before crossing into Guatemala to visit Antigua and the active Pacaya volcano.

Our three night tour of Tikal and Belize begins in Flores, Guatemala travelling by boat from Flores Island to the Tayasal archaeological site where we’ll walk through forests to the traditional village of San Miguel. An overnight jungle lodge stay then awaits in Tikal, before exploring the site’s remarkable Mayan ruins. Crossing over into Belize and the Xunantunich ruins provides further captivating insight into the region’s Mayan history.
