Discover the lesser visited gems of the Caucasus regions, taking in the dramatic mountainous landscapes, breakaway regions and unique cultural identities that span neighbouring parts of Russia and Georgia.

In North Ossetia we will visit the historical City of the Dead at Dargavs, a medieval necropolis holding the remains of over 10,000 people and the Republic of Ingushetia, both notable for their distinct medieval architecture. The tour will pass through Chechnya’s stunning mountain scenery and briefly pass through Dagestan. The second half of the tour will take the Trans Caucasus highway through the Roksky Tunnel under the Caucasian ridge connecting North Ossetia opening up tothe Georgian breakaway region of South Ossetia and its capital, Tskinval.
