Itinerary

Day One, Nov 1 2027
Arrive in Cap Haitien

• Morning arrival and drive South to UNESCO-listed Citadelle Laferierre – the world’s first example of African-derived colonial architecture.

• After exploring the citadelle, we will head towards the Sans-Souci Palace – previously the royal residence of the former Haitian King, Henri Christoph.

• Overnight in Cap Haitien.
Day Two, Nov 2 2027
Amiga Island

• After breakfast, we will depart for Cadras Beach in Labadee.

• Afterwards, we will depart by boat to Île-à-Rat – a secluded tropical cay, also known as Amiga Island.

• Overnight in Cap Haitien.
Day Three, Nov 3 2027
Fort Liberte

• In the morning, we will take a city tour of Cap Haitien.

• Afterwards, we will travel east to Fort Liberte – the site of an old fortress and also one of the oldest cities in Haiti.

• We will then visit the site of the Battle of Vertiéres – the final phase of the Haitian revolution.

• Afterwards, visit Bois Caiman – the first meeting point of enslaved Africans, where the insurrection which led to the Haitian Revolution was planned.

• Overnight in Cap Haitien.
Day Four, Nov 4 2027
Depart

• After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
